In the old days not every farmer had a team matched in colour and form. This farmer has a sorrel and a chestnut coloured draught horses. I love the texture and the contrasts. It was a struggle in days of yore to make ends meet, to get the crops in, to get the right amount of sun and moisture and then have dry weather for harvest. It’s still a struggle for farmers to meet the above and their equipment payments/repairs so that they can feed their families  . . . and all of us.
