Pearce Homestead

Town Crier Dave, my husband, was asked to do a proclamation for the Pearce Family Reunion being held at the original Pearce Family Homestead on the north shore of lake Erie in Dunwich Twsp. The Pearces were celebrating the two hundredth anniversary of the arrival of the early pioneers of Dunwich including their family  . . the Pearces. The day was very hot. The folks were friendly and the food was great. Some of the family and the hosts had hauled out some old equipment and artifacts. This antique Eureka Hand Garden Tiller was on display. My grandfather used one something like this. Lovely days to remember.
